Happy Saturday

Today we did a lot of yard work. Finished planting bulbs for upcoming spring. Repotted couple of orchids and some of my patio plants.

While cleaning up the backyard planters along the wall, found a cucumber in the creeper. All these days we were thinking it was a cantaloup creeper. No one planted this and it grew out of no where.

I love such surprises and enjoy such small pleasures life offers.

I hope your weekend is going well.

Weekend gone by so fast

Time flys when you are having too much fun.  This weekend, apart from regular scheduled activities for the weekend, I pretty much was home.  Oh why?  Because I had project on my mind and I really enjoyed working on it.  Here is the finished project.
I purchased 8 inch clay pots from Walmart and painted and decorated it.  Purchased the paint at Lowe's in sample size and used the light green which was at home already.  I wish I had bought a brighter green.  Hindsight is always 20 20.  Right?

Do let me know what you think.  I would love to hear your comments.

As a result of this project, my other plant stand benefited as well.  All my succulent plant collection are now in one place.
I wish you all a very happy and successful week.

Happy Durga Puja

I hope you all had a wonderful Navaratri.  This past weekend we went to Durga Puja at Vedanta temple, Santa Barbara, CA. It was a wonderful experience and the location of the temple in a exotic location.
Here are some pictures I took.
